Homecare Association response to Care Data Matters consultation

The Homecare Association have responded to the Care Data Matters consultation. In our response we highlight the broad range of data that the sector needs to operate smoothly: from information about the needs of the people we support through to data on the changing shape and capacity of the market. Additional data is needed in some areas in particular - such as around people who pay for their own care and about live-in care provision. We urge the Government to share relevant data with providers; to be mindful of the time and cost required to deliver data and to avoid duplication in data requests to providers.
