Welsh Government announce £8m additional funding for community care and hospital pressures
The Welsh Government have announced that they are providing an additional £8m funding to support community health and social care workforce capacity, and provide assessments for people in the community. It is hoped this will help people to stay well and reduce pressure on hospitals.
We are advised that £5 million of this funding has been set aside for buidling community capacity specifically. The funding will be distributed to Health Boards and they will work with Local Authorities and others via the Pan Cluster Planning Groups; with plans for spending endorsed by Regional Partnership Boards.
