On Carers Rights Day, Carers UK  released a new report which provides insight into the lives of millions of people who are balancing paid employment whilst proving care for a loved one.

The findings came from their State of Caring 2023 survey that was completed by over 11,500 carers. It was found that 40% of all carers surveyed said they had given up work to provide unpaid care, while 22% said they had reduced their working hours

The report goes on to present how employers can help their staff and enable them to maintain their roles by offering carer-friend policies to protect their rights today, tomorrow and in the future.
